As an expert in sickle cell trait through lived experience and founding a global united support group for individuals living with symptomatic sickle cell trait, I'm dedicated to sharing vital information to empower individuals and communities. My journey through living with pain and complications only attributed to sickle cell anaemia, the full blown disease state, suffering since early childhood to the age of 41 has equipped me with the knowledge to address your concerns and provide valuable insights to promote awareness and safety, dispel myths and change the incorrect narratives out there, with the aims to improve patient clinical outcomes and move towards policy changes in it's classification.
