Background

Jemoza Wellbeing Academy was born from a deeply personal journey of healing, faith, and rediscovering identity in order to walk in purpose.

Founded by Louise Rachael Mwape Miller, better known as Mwape Miller to those who have followed her Advocacy journey.

Louise (Mwape) is a two times Amazon best selling Author, sickle cell trait Advocate and Educator, amongst holding various other formal qualifications.

Jemoza Wellbeing Academy exists to help individuals heal, rediscover their identity, and use creativity as a pathway to restoration.

Through courses, books, community and mentorship, the Academy supports people in transforming their lived experiences into healing, purpose and legacy.

At Jemoza, we believe that when the heart heals, creativity flows — and when creativity flows, lives change.

So step in, Awaken Your Inner Beauty and Shine Like the Sun From Within!

The Rebirth of Jemoza Wellbeing Academy

Jemoza Wellbeing Academy is the rebirth of a previous business founded by Louise (Mwape) in 2014 — Jemoza Inner Beauty & Wellbeing, which specialised in holistic therapies, body detox treatments and non-surgical aesthetics, until her health began deteriorating. Following a life-altering sickle cell trait crisis in 2020, everything changed. Louise (Mwape) became completely disabled for a period of time, requiring assistance even with the most basic daily tasks. During this difficult season which transformed her daily life to date, she faced the reality that she could no longer work in the way she once had. Yet in that place of vulnerability, something powerful emerged. A new calling. What began as a season of survival slowly became a season of restoration, reflection and rebirth. This moment is captured in the Rebirth of Jemoza video, which shares the heart behind the transformation of the business into what it is today — a platform dedicated to healing, creativity and faith-based personal transformation.

Healing Through Creativity

Throughout her recovery, Louise (Mwape) began writing and publishing books based on her lived experiences, faith and journey through illness, identity and restoration.

What started as personal healing quickly became something much greater.

Today, Jemoza Wellbeing Academy provides:

• Writing courses for aspiring authors

• Creative healing programmes

• Faith-based personal development resources

• Books and journals designed to support emotional and spiritual growth

• A supportive community for individuals seeking restoration and purpose

Through the Jemoza Writers Academy, Louise (Mwape) now helps aspiring authors transform their own stories into books — empowering them to leave a legacy through writing.

Advocacy and Lived Experience

Sickle Cell Trait Warrior / Author / Advocate

Alongside her work as an author and educator, Louise (Mwape) is also a Sickle Cell Trait (SCT) advocate and founded the Facebook Support Group: "Symptomatic SCT Global Voices United" - an online movement of symptomatic SCT warriors facing the same battle she has been, with little to no clinical research or assistance available.

Her advocacy work was born from her own health journey and the challenges she faced navigating the medical system while living with severe complications connected to SCT ever since her early childhood.

Louise (Mwape) is committed to raising awareness, sharing research and amplifying conversations around sickle cell trait so that others can better understand their health and advocate for themselves.

You can learn more about her advocacy work and how you too can be involved to help change incorrect narratives about sickle cell trait, learn about the risks, complications, triggers and how you can put in preventative mechanisms and live well, despite carrying a percentage of sickled haemoglobin, or if you look after someone diagnosed with this genetic condition, as an incorrectly classified 'benign' carrier here:

Through faith, creativity and lived experience, Louise (Mwape) believes that even life’s most difficult chapters can become the beginning of a new story.

A story where healing is possible.

A story where purpose is rediscovered.

A story where you can truly shine like the sun from within.
